It is very sad and regrettable that Mr. Gillette has found it necessary to step down from the City Council. He has been a loyal and dedicated public servant and has served the city well.

We request that Mr. Al Adam be appointed to fill the upcoming vacancy. It is obvious that Mr. Adam is a well-qualified candidate.

He has been supported by the community in a major way as evidenced by the large vote he received in the last council election.
