Gold medal delivery


SURPRISE—Water polo star and Olympic silver medalist Tony Azevedo visits a water polo club in Thousand Oaks on Feb. 14. Azevedo, captain of the U.S. National Water Polo Team, surprised the club players on Valentine’s Day with his visit. He talked to the students about competing in the Olympics, handed out free swim gear and played water polo with them. Azevedo competed in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, 2004 Athens Olympics and 2008 Beijing Games, where the team earned a silver medal.
