As part of its Science Speaker Series, the Discovery Center for Science and Technology will present “Diet and Health: What Evolution Can Teach Us?” at 7 p.m. Thurs., Feb. 9 at Baxter BioSciences, 1 Baxter Way, Westlake Village.

Guest speaker Dr. Bruce German is a UC Davis professor of food science and technology. He researches how food components affect health and metabolism.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for seniors, teachers and students.
