The Thousand Oaks Library offers story times with puppets, rhymes, songs and stories.

Following are the scheduled story times for the Grant Brimhall/ Thousand Oaks Library:

•Babies and Books for ages 18 to 24 months. Fridays from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Sept. 17 and 24; Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29; and Nov. 5.

Children and their caregivers can take part in stories, songs and fingerplays in the community room. Each program includes playtime for babies and time for adults to visit.

•Terrific for Toddlers for ages 2 to 3 years. Thursdays from 10:30 to 10:55 a.m. Sept. 16, 23 and 30; Oct. 7, 14, 21 and 28; and Nov. 4.

Stories, songs, fingerplays and rhymes are presented in the Children’s Library program room.

•Perfect for Preschoolers for ages 3 to 5 years. Tuesdays from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Sept. 14, 21, 28, Oct. 5, 12, 19, 26 and Nov. 2.

Tales, fingerplays, songs, rhymes and riddles are presented in the Children’s Library program room.

The following programs will take place at the Newbury Park Branch Library:

•Fall Fun for Babies and Toddlers is for ages 18 to 36 months. Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Oct. 14, 21, 28 and Nov. 4.

Parents, caregivers and children can take part in stories, songs and fingerplays, followed by 20 minutes of playtime.

•Fall Into a Great Book for ages 3 to 5 years. Tuesdays from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Oct. 12, 19, 26 and Nov. 2.

Family Story Times from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. Sat., Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 13 and Dec. 11.

These family-friendly story times will be followed by small craft projects appropriate for children preschool age and older. Parental help may be needed for younger children.

Registration is not necessary. Parents are asked to follow the age guidelines before bringing children to story time.

Every attempt is made to begin programs on time and the staff may not be able to accommodate latecomers.
