Center unveils Holy Day services schedule
The Thousand Oaks Chabad Jewish Center will present the following High Holy Day services at 2060 E. Avenida de Los Arboles, Ste. I, Thousand Oaks.
The Rosh Hashana Eve service will be at 6:15 p.m. Wed., Sept. 8.
After the service, a threecourse Mediterranean-style dinner will be served. Cost is $18 for adults, $10 for children under 10.
First day Rosh Hashana will be at 9:30 a.m. Thurs., Sept. 9 with shofar at noon. Junior congregation will also meet that day at 11:30 a.m.
Light refreshments and apples dipped in honey will be served after all services.
A Tashlich Unity Parade will leave the Chabad at 5 p.m. Sept. 9 and arrive at Conejo Creek Park at about 5:45 p.m.
Yom Kippur evening service will be at 6:14 p.m. Fri., Sept. 17.
Yom Kippur morning services will be at 9:30 a.m. Sat., Sept. 18 with junior congregation at 11:30 a.m., Yizkor at 12:30 p.m., Mincha at 5 p.m. and Neilah with shofar at 6 p.m. A bagels, lox and cream cheese break-the-fast will follow the closing service.
Reservations are not needed. The suggested donation is $100 for an assigned seat and $500 sponsor, but donations should be made according to individual means, and no one should feel unwelcome due to an inability to pay.
