Blizz Frozen Yogurt is now open at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks.

Sabor Cocina Mexicana, featuring dishes derived from family recipes, has also opened its doors at The Lakes.

Los Angeles-based Blizz Frozen Yogurt offers self-serve frozen yogurt, where guests can mix and match flavors and apply their own toppings from among 34 choices, including fresh berries, melon cubes, watermelon and animal cookies.

Blizz also offers fresh fruit smoothies, shakes and freshly baked Belgium waffles with a choice of toppings.

Bringing the flavors from the family’s origins in the Yucatan, Sabor Cocina Mexicana uses natural ingredients such as certified Angus beef, grain-fed pork and fresh seafood.

Menu selections include dishes seasoned with spicy chiles and indigenous peppers, authentic moles, salsas, handmade tortillas and 100 percent agave-tequila margaritas.

The restaurant offers a bar area, outdoor dining patio and a private dining room.
