AFTER FLOWERING, THEY GO AWAY–These agave plants are 30 to 35 feet tall, according to T.O. resident Jeff Webster, who sent us the photo and lives on Sapra Street, where the plants are growing. The two plants recently flowered, which means they have completed their cycle of life. The agave is also sometimes called the “century plant,” and these are called “agave tequilana” because they’re used in making tequila.
