The Westlake chapter of Aglow International, a nondenominational Christian fellowship of women caring for women around the world, invites all women to attend a breakfast from 9:15 to 11:30 a.m. Fri., Aug. 13 at Los Robles Greens Banquet Center, 299 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Breakfast will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by music by Tom Smith.

Sheriff Bob Brooks will speak on “Safety and Security” and also share his Christian faith.

Brooks and his wife have served in local church leadership in the area for more than 40 years and have been active in short-term missions for the last eight years with Joni and Friends. They have also taught home Bible studies for most of their adult lives.
