A Relay for Life event for cancer survivors and pre-relay fundraiser will take place from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Sat., July 24 at the Islands restaurant parking lot, 935 Broadbeck Drive, Newbury Park.

The event will be a Saturday Nite Cruise. Residents with classic cars can display their vehicles in the parking lot for free. The event will also have nostalgic music, 50-50 raffle and a raffle for cancer survivors only.

A booth will be set up for cancer survivors to sign up to participate in the victory lap, luminaria ceremony and daily activities honoring survivors at the Relay For Life of Conejo Valley, Aug. 28 in Thousand Oaks.

Survivors do not need to be on a participating team to be honored at the relay.
