The Oaks mall will kick off the second annual 11-week Summer Nights Music Series this month in the outdoor area by Muvico, Hillcrest Drive at Marin Street, Thousand Oaks. A free concert will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. each Thursday evening from June 24 through Sept. 2

A different regional band will be showcased each week playing different genres of music, including classic rock, blues, jazz and oldies.

Limited seating is provided on a first come, first served basis. Guests can bring their own outside seating.

Unkle Monkey will perform on June 24. The band, headed by Steve Stafford, blends the songs and rhythms of the tropics with island-themed pop/rock songs.
