Remembering the Stars and Stripes


RESPECTFUL RETIREMENT– Newbury Park resident Doug Hardie plays taps as members of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post No. 11395 carry a coffin containing flags to be retired to a hearse. American flags should be properly disposed of when they become soiled, torn or frayed. The event took place on Monday, Flag Day, at the Civic Arts Plaza.
