Field hockey athletes to compete

The Field Hockey Federation of Southern California will host the 39th Cal-Cup Tournament from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Memorial Day weekend, May 28 to 31, at Moorpark College and at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks.

Admission is free, and parking is available.

Competing teams registered for girls, boys, women and men go from U-8, U-10, U-12, U-16, U-19, Competitive and Super Divisions with participation of international teams from Argentina, Canada, Chinese Taipei, Mexico and USA.

Vendors will sell food and apparel.

California Cup is the premier invitational field hockey tournament held annually in the United States under the auspices of the Field Hockey Federation and California Cup Organizing Committee. In addition to $5,000 top prize in the Super Divisions, each player on the top three teams in all divisions will receive gold, silver and bronze medals.
