Let’s reelect Parks

I’ve been closely following the race between Supervisor Linda Parks and Audra Strickland for the position of county supervisor. It’s clear that there’s been one person who’s been dedicated to serving the public interest time and time again over the years.

That person is Linda Parks, a longtime resident of the Thousand Oaks area. She’s been there when we needed her in her role as county supervisor.

She’s been instrumental in balancing the county’s budget yearafter year. She’s helped reform the pensions of county workers, saving taxpayer money. And she has the support of the Ventura County firefighters and deputies because they know she puts public safety first.

She cares about senior citizens and has held Senior Summits to improve the delivery of care.

My friends and I are dismayed at the attack campaign against her because it’s full of false allegations. We’re dismayed that the one leveling the deceitful misinformation is a seated Assembly member who only recently moved into this area.

We need honesty and a passionate voice of the people in government.

Consequently, we need Linda Parks as our county supervisor.
