Summer Sign-up Day for Conejo Valley YMCA Summer Camp will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Sat., May 15 at the Y, 4031 N. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks.

Parents will be able to sign up their children for day camps, away camps and specialty camps. YMCA staff will be on hand to answer questions about summer camps and other programs.

The evening will also feature free swimming in the Y’s indoor heated pool, a barbecue and an outdoor family-friendly movie beginning at 7:45 p.m.

Guests should bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Camps are available for prekindergartners to teens. Counselorin training and lifeguard training are also offered during the summer.

After a one-year absence, the YMCA’s equestrian camp is back for campers who want to learn to groom and tack horses, practice riding skills and ride along the Conejo Valley’s equestrian trails. Campers will also have an opportunity to swim in the indoor pool during the week. All riders are welcome, from first-timers to experienced riders.
