ADMIRING A CARNIVORE —Thousand  Oaks  resident Emily Houston says hello to “Tito” a 6-year-old barn owl at  the  Ojai  Raptor  Center booth  at  the  12th  annual Thousand Oaks Arbor/Earth Day festival at Conejo Creek Park.  Last  Saturday’s  free event was presented by the city of Thousand Oaks and Conejo Recreation and Park District. It featured more than 100  ecologically-minded vendors, hands-on activities, free  trees  and  plants, entertainment  and  wild animals.
