Chopin Project IV will feature piano concert
The Thousand Oaks Philharmonic will present the Chopin Project IV at 7:30 p.m. Sat., April 24 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza’s Scherr Forum Theater, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.
The performance celebrates the music of Chopin with a piano concert and a multimedia presentation chronicling the composer’s many romances.
The Chopin Project’s Ornela Ervin, Kyung Lee, Michael Preddy and Michael Glenn Williams will be joined by duo-piano guest artists Edward Francis and Mona Wu DeCesare.
The multimedia presentation features surgeon/musician Michael Williams, MD, narrating the story of Chopin’s romances, with Wojciech Kocyan performing the voice of Chopin and actress Lynette Rintoul portraying the composer’s loves.
An original contemporary portrait of Chopin by Londonbased artist Nazim will be auctioned during the concert.
