Addressing senior driving skills
Senior Concerns will present an informational seminar titled “Age well, drive well—Your driver’s license: How to hold on and when to let go” from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tues., April 13 at Senior Concerns Adult Day Center, 401 Hodencamp Road, Thousand Oaks.
The program is open to all ages, including seniors, middle age adults or a family member concerned about a senior’s driving ability.
Ann Love, senior driving ombudsman for the California Department of Motor Vehicles, will provide information on recognizing changes in driving abilities; assessing an individual’s driving techniques; making the necessary adjustments as drivers age, and the decision on when to stop driving.
A question and answer time will follow the presentation.
Although the program is free, donations to Senior Concerns are encouraged.
Reservations will be taken through Mon., April 12 by calling Senior Concerns at (805) 497- 0189. Advance reservations are required to arrange respite care for special-need seniors.
