Assistance League of Conejo Valley will offer an insider’s view into six homes in Westlake Village on its Kitchens and Cooks tour from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sun., May 16.

On this self-guided tour, guests can view an array of designed kitchens and dining areas, sample foods from local restaurants, meet cookbook authors and talk with designers.

The owners of Let’s Get Cookin’ and A La Maison are opening their home kitchens for the tour.

Interior designer Roxanne Packham will meet guests in a home she decorated in the country French style. A Showcase Kitchens and Bath designer will be on hand in a newly remodeled kitchen.

Authors Jullian Fisher and Merilee Iverson will appear with their cookbook “My Best Friend’s Kitchen.” Author Jill Lodato Foster will demonstrate techniques from her cookbook “Creative Cakes Anyone Can Make.”

A separately ticketed silent auction and wine tasting will follow the tour, from 4 to 7 p.m. at a gated North Ranch estate with mission-style architecture.

Tickets to the tour are $30 before May 1 and $35 afterward. Tickets to the wine-tasting event are $60.
