Fox News is vitally important to conservatives
Tom Graves stated that Fox News is a front for the Republicans. That leads me to believe that he has never actually watched Fox himself and is relying on those who wish to keep people from watching Fox’s interesting and educational shows.
After months of our older son admonishing us to watch Fox, we fired up our DVR and recorded Beck, O’Reilly, Cavuto, Van Susteren and Hannity for nearly a month. The experience was eye opening, as nearly every controversial subject was introduced with both sides presented, and often representatives of both major parties were interviewed as part of panel discussions.
Lately Beck’s been focused primarily on him and his infamous blackboard, but he and O’Reilly spend much of their time ragging on Republicans as much as Democrats.
I doubt if Pravda spent much editorial time ragging against communist Russia (only kidding— they didn’t spend any such time).
Clearly Fox’s orientation and message are conservative but backed up by common sense and solid facts as opposed to the more liberal pundits on other stations who appeal primarily to emotions.
With California hurling head first into bankruptcy and much of Europe not far behind, common sense and facing hard decisions is the only process that can save the rest of this country from bankruptcy.
I challenge Tom Graves and others to watch a month of Fox and decide for themselves of its value. Of course, if you’re a committed liberal and want the nanny state to run every facet of your lives and don’t worry about government bankruptcies, it may be a negative experience.
