An outdoor event area that could accommodate 250 people may be coming to T.O.

The new area would cover 2.4 acres at Los Robles Golf Course; it’s main use would be for weddings, said planner Claudia Pedroso.

Plans for the event area are scheduled to be presented at the 6:30 p.m. planning commission meeting on Mon., March 8 in the City Council chambers, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., on the second floor. Any resident can attend and speak at the meeting.

If the construction is allowed as planned, the event area will be built between the clubhouse and driving range on what’s now a putting green. It would include restrooms, a storage area and a kitchenette.An outdoor barbecue, a dance floor and a bar area would also be among the amentities.

There would be no covered roof areas.

New landscaping would be included, along with decorative walls to serve as backdrops for wedding photos, Pedroso said.
