Newbury Park

The following subjects were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: a male, 35, at 10:45 a.m. Feb. 1 at Fernhill Court and Lynn Road; a male, 36, at 11:20 p.m. Feb. 6 at Theresa and Wendy drives; a male, 30, at 12:48 a.m. Feb. 4 at Rivendell Circle and E. Kelley Road (subject was asleep at the wheel at a stop sign); a male, 38, at 12:20 a.m. Feb. 3 along Newbury Road, near the 101 Freeway connector; a male, 18, at 1:40 a.m. Feb. 7 at Hillcrest and San Carlos drives.

A Newbury Park High School student took a swing at an NPHS teacher after the teacher confronted that student about smoking a cigarette on campus. The assault took place during school hours around 3 p.m. on Feb. 3.

A male, 57, was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance at 5:40 p.m. Feb. 2 in the 1200 block of Newbury Road.

An explosive device ignited between 3:55 and 4:10 p.m. Feb. 5 near Regal Avenue and Little Creek Circle.

For striking someone in the head with his hand and then exhibiting a knife in an angry manner, a male, 42, was cited Jan. 25 in the 4200 block of Blackwood Street. The crimes occurred around 9:40 p.m. Jan. 25 in the 3300 block of Kimber Drive.

A male, 25, committed battery around midnight Jan. 2 in the 200 block of Wendy Drive. The subject was arrested Jan. 29.

Two males, 23 and 22, were cited for spray painting graffiti on stop signs at 7:40 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 400 block of Knollwood Drive.

Graffiti defaced three stop signs at Lesser and Jenny drives on Feb. 1.

A bicycle was stolen from a pickup truck bed on Feb. 3 or 4 in the 1200 block of Rotella Street.

A male, 19, was cited for possessing medication without a prescription at 7:10 p.m. Feb. 7 in the 200 block of Lynn Oaks Avenue.

A male, 30, was arrested for being drunk in public at 10 p.m. Feb. 5 at Ventu Park and Newbury roads.

Two televisions were stolen from Target at 2705 Teller Road between 6:27 and 6:33 p.m. Jan. 25.

Shoplifting was attempted at Target between 4:37 and 4:40 p.m. Jan. 26.

Merchandise valued at more than $1,300 was stolen from Kohl’s at 1960 Newbury Road between 4:23 and 5:16 p.m. Jan. 30.

Home burglaries occurred at the following locations: between Dec. 2 and 21 in the 500 block of Danville Avenue; on Feb. 2 in the 3400 block of Kimber Drive.

Vandalism was reported Feb. 7 in the 3300 block of Kimber Drive.

A $200 home window was damaged by a BB shot between Jan. 30 and Feb. 1 in the 3800 block of Lesser Drive.

A male, 37, and a female, 36, were cited for battery at 12:40 a.m. Jan. 31 in the first block of E. Kelley Road.

A car window was broken around 12:45 a.m. Feb. 3 in the 3500 block of Baxter Street.

Vehicles were vandalized ($1,615 in damage) on Jan. 28 or 29 in the 5300 block of Via Pisa.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Feb. 2 or 3 in the 400 block of Havenside Avenue; Jan. 31 or Feb. 1 in the 800 block of La Grange Avenue; Jan. 13 in the 2100 block of Newbury Road; Feb. 2 or 3 in the 300 block of Ridgemont Court; Jan. 30 or 31 in the 800 block of Boxthorn Avenue; Jan. 28 or 29 in the 3400 block of Henry Drive; Jan. 31 along Longford Avenue; between 1 and 2:30 a.m. Jan. 31 along Pons Court; between 1 and 3 a.m. Jan. 31 in the 3700 block of Holloway Street; Jan. 30 or 31 in the 900 block of La Grange Avenue.

Thousand Oaks

A female, 47, was arrested for maintaining a house for selling or using controlled substances and elder/dependent person abuse at 8:05 p.m. Feb. 5 in the 1400 block of Suffolk Avenue. A male, 24, and female, 18, on site were arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. The male subject possessed a syringe and spoon that had brown tar residue. The younger female subject possessed about 10 grams of heroin, smoking devices, syringes and packaging paraphernalia.

The following subjects were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: a male, 28, at 2:12 a.m. Feb. 7 at Lynn Road and Calle Laredo (subject was weaving and driving without lights); a female, 27, at 11:42 p.m. Feb. 1 at Los Robles Road, west of Sunset Drive; a male, 27, at 9:20 p.m. Jan. 29 in the 200 block of W. Janss Road (subject possessed a syringe); a male, 54, at 6:40 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 1600 block of Shadow Oaks Lane; a male, 22, at 6:57 p.m. Jan. 30 at Los Feliz Drive and Duesenberg Road (subject was involved in a hit-and-run accident).

For being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: a female, 21, at 12:40 p.m. Feb. 4 in the 1800 block of Fordham Avenue; a male, 25, at 10:45 p.m. Feb. 2 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive; a male, 25, at 5:59 p.m. Jan. 29 in the 2800 block of Camino Dos Rios; a female, 31, at 5:59 p.m. Jan. 29 in the 2800 block of Camino Dos Rios; a female, 18, at 12:35 p.m. Dec. 31 in the 2800 block of Cedar Wood Place.

A male, 50, assaulted his wife with a deadly weapon, causing her to fall and sustain an injury. The subject also threatened the person with messages on a cellphone. He was arrested at 11:45 a.m. Feb. 4 in the 2100 block of Sonoma Court.

A male, 21, committed assault with a deadly weapon and robbery at 9:05 a.m. Feb. 1 in the 1800 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A 46-year-old female was cited for domestic violence at 8:30 p.m. Jan. 25 in the 200 block of Sandberg Street.

A male, 53, and a female, 46, were cited for battery at 8:40 a.m. Jan. 29 in the 2100 block of Glastonbury Road.

A male, 33, was arrested for using fraudulent information in an application to purchase a vehicle at 11:43 a.m. Feb. 1 in the 3300 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A male, 41, was arrested for violating a domestic violence restraining order at 8:40 p.m. Feb. 5 at Sirius Street and Keats Avenue.

A female, 31, was arrested for stealing merchandise from Ralphs grocery store at 1500 N. Moorpark Road at 1:40 p.m. Jan. 29.

A male, 21, was arrested for petty theft at 6:55 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A 21-year-old female was cited for shoplifting from J.C. Penney at 280 W. Hillcrest Drive at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 4.

Two males, 30 and 23, were arrested for shoplifting at 8:40 p.m. Jan. 30 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A female, 44, committed a petty theft at J.C. Penney around 3:50 p.m. Jan. 30.

A male, 20, was cited for possessing lost property at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 30 along Thousand Oaks Boulevard, near Marmon Avenue.

Two vehicles were stolen on Feb. 1 or 2 in the 100 block of Jensen Court.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Feb. 3 or 4 in the 800 block of Falmouth Street; Feb. 3 or 4 in the 1500 block of Berea Circle; Feb. 4 or 5 in the 2900 block of Queens Way (unlocked); Feb. 4 or 5 in the 2300 block of Whitechapel Place (unlocked); between 12:30 and 2 p.m. Feb. 5 in the 1400 block of N. Gainsborough Road (two unlocked vehicles); Jan. 30 or 31 in the 100 block of Thames Street (unlocked); between 8:15 and 11 a.m. Jan. 29 in the 2500 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard; between Jan. 29 and 31 in the 400 block of Newcastle Street; Jan. 31 or Feb. 1 in the 300 block of Rolling Oaks Drive; between Jan. 30 and Feb. 1 on Greenmeadow Avenue, east of Greenheath Place; between 1:15 and 2:40 p.m. Feb. 1 at Wildwood Park at Avenida de Los Arboles and Big Sky Drive.

A vehicle and property from other locked vehicles were stolen from a storage yard on Feb. 7 in the first block of Duesenberg Road.

A vehicle was vandalized between 11 and 11:15 a.m. Feb. 4 in the 2000 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

A vandal tampered with a vehicle on Feb. 4 along Rosario Drive, near La Peresa Drive.

A vehicle was keyed on Jan. 29 or 30 in the 700 block of Maysville Circle. However, a known subject tampered with same vehicle around 8:25 p.m. Jan. 31 in the 500 block of N. Ventu Park Road in Newbury Park.

A thief stole $210 from a man’s unlocked gym locker between 1 and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 29 in the 100 block of N. Moorpark Road.

Property was stolen from a woman’s unlocked gym locker between 8 and 9:15 a.m. Jan. 30 in the 2400 block of Willow Lane.

A grand theft occurred on Jan. 31 in the 1500 block of Upper Ranch Road.

A home burglary occurred between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Feb. 1 in the 1700 block of Burningtree Drive.

A business was burglarized on Feb. 5 or 6 in the 600 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A burglary was attempted on Feb. 1 or 2 in the 100 block of Clay Court.

Property valued at $2,000 was damaged on Jan. 29 or 30 in the 3200 block of W. Sierra Drive.

Money in the amount of $100 was stolen from a purse at The Oaks mall between 12:30 and 2 p.m. Feb. 4.

A water meter was stolen between Nov. 24 and Dec. 21 in the 600 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A thief stole someone’s clothing while that person was shopping between 10:30 and 11 a.m. Dec. 26 in the 200 block of W. Hillcrest Drive. The crime was recently reported.

Three cast-iron mailboxes were broken on Jan. 28 or 29 in the 5500 block of Eagle Point Circle.

Graffiti defaced property on Jan. 29 or 30 along Wildwood Avenue, west of Lynn Road.

A male, 32, was cited for obstructing justice at 9 a.m. Jan. 30 in the 2700 block of Knightsbridge Road.

A 21-year-old male was cited for urinating in public at Janss Marketplace at 11:35 p.m. Jan. 29.

A female, 41, was arrested for disorderly conduct at 9:15 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 40, was arrested for being drunk in public at 7:40 p.m. Jan. 30 in the 700 block of N. Moorpark Road.

An 18-year-old male was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol at 1:25 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 400 block of Dryden Street.

A male, 18, was cited for possessing a small amount of marijuana at 11 p.m. Feb. 6 in the 1300 block of E. Hillcrest Drive. A male, 19, was cited for a similar crime at 4:40 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 900 block of E. Avenida de Los Arboles.

Westlake/T.O.

An 18-year-old male Westlake High School student was arrested on campus for possessing a dangerous weapon in his vehicle at 12:25 p.m. Feb. 4.

Someone stole a cellphone, used it to make fraudulent phone calls and sold the phone for cash. The crime was reported Feb. 2 in the 300 block of N. Westlake Boulevard.

Annoying telephone calls were made at a business between Dec. 1 and Feb .2 in the 2600 block of Townsgate Road.

A male, 65, was cited for obstructing justice at 7:16 p.m. Feb. 1 in the 400 block of Lake Sherwood Drive.

An assailant attempted to have sex with someone while that person was intoxicated on the night of July 24, 1998, in the 2700 block of Townsgate Road. The crime was reported Feb. 5.

A vehicle window was smashed and a purse was stolen between 6:45 and 7:20 p.m. Feb. 3 in the 900 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.

A laptop computer was stolen from a locked vehicle on Feb. 1 or 2 in the 800 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.

A person accidentally left property at a business, and it was not recovered. The theft occurred between 8:15 and 8:30 p.m. Jan. 28 in the 900 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.

A wallet from a purse was stolen on Jan. 28 or 29 in the 900 block of S. Westlake Boulevard.

Graffiti vandalism defaced property between Jan. 28 and Feb. 2 in the 1100 block of Landsburn Circle.

A vandal stepped on the hood, windshield and roof of a vehicle, causing $500 in damage at the Promenade mall parking lot.
