CLU dedicates a peace pole


GIVE PEACE A CHANCE–Juanita Hall, director of multicultural programs at California Lutheran University, speaks during the school’s peace pole dedication ceremony. The school unveiled the  pole  last  Friday.  “May Peace  Prevail  on  Earth”  is  inscribed  on  the  monument  in  nine languages. The pole is a reminder to think of peace. The Peace Pole Project was begun by Masahisa Gol in Japan in 1955. See story on page 9 and related photo on page 28.
