Information available for prospective adoptive parents
With 129,000 children in foster care, Children’s Bureau is seeking caring families to consider adopting these children. The agency will host an information meeting for those interested in learning more on Wed., Feb. 24 from 7 to 8:15 p.m. at the Grant Brimhall/Thousand Oaks Library, 1401 E. Janss Road.
Children’s Bureau has finalized more than 1,000 adoptions for families across six counties in Southern California. Individuals single or married, teachers, retired persons and anyone interested in helping atrisk children find the stability and support a family can provide are encouraged to contact Children’s Bureau.
Qualifying families receive training, certification, benefits, medical for the children and 24hour support to aid in the care of their foster or adoptive children.
