Cabrillo holds auditions for ‘Little Shop of Horrors’

Auditions for Cabrillo Music Theatre’s “Little Shop of Horrors” will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon., Feb. 8 at Madilyn Clark Studios, 10852 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood. This is an Equity call for principal roles.

Auditions will continue from 4 to 11 p.m. Tues. and Wed., Feb. 9 and 10 at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest, Thousand Oaks.

These are non-Equity appointments for all roles.

Performances will be April 23 through May 2 in the Kavli Theatre at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

Rehearsals begin March 22 for non-Equity performers and April 5 for Equity performers.

All auditions and callbacks are by appointment only. Actors should bring picture and resume.

All roles are open and available to nonunion performers. Actors’ Equity contracts are available for some roles. There is pay for all roles.

Lewis Wilkenfeld is the director. John Charron is the choreographer, and Matthew Smedal is the musical director.

The show is an affectionate spoof of 1950s sci-fi movies with a score by the songwriting team of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken.
