Art center hosts exhibit of original art by 15 artists

“Symbols and Words” is the first show of the year for the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley. Original art by 15 artists will be on display through March 28 at the Galleria at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

The public can attend an artists’ reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Sat., Feb. 6 at the gallery.

Co-curators of the Galleria are Thousand Oaks artists Janet Amiri and Connie Tunick.

Participating in the invitational exhibit are Thousand Oaks artists Susan Lasch Krevitt, Allen Lieberman, Mimi Lieberman, Arlene Mead, Michael Pearce, Peggy Pownall and Connie Tunick.

Newbury Park artists are Geri Gretan, Theodora Ilowitz and Roland Roy.

Other artists in the show are Crystal Michaelson of Agoura Hills, Geri Schonberg of Westlake Village, Debra Sokolow of Oak Park, Brian Stethem of Filmore and Susan Dobay of Monrovia.
