Elks Lodge honors public safety officers

RECOGNIZED FOR SERVICE–Ventura County Assistant Fire Chief Mike LaPlant, right, presents the Elks Firefighter award to Fire Capt. Chris Johnson of T.O. Johnson graduated from the Thousand Oaks High School Class of 1979. He began his firefighting career as a cadet at age 16. The Elks honor cops, firefighters and California Highway Patrol officers every year.
