Cops to help teens be better drivers

The Thousand Oaks Police Department will host Start Smart to educate teen drivers and their parents at 6 p.m. Mon., Jan. 18 at the Thousand Oaks Police Station, East County Community Room, 2101 E. Olsen Road, Thousand Oaks.

The free program will teach young drivers and their parents or guardians about responsibilities associated with driving a motor vehicle. The goal is to raise awareness and reduce the number of teen-related injuries and deaths due to collisions.
