Nonprofit has new executive board
Outgoing Community Conscience President Ken Humphrey passed the gavel to Dee Crawford at a recent installation dinner at Los Robles Greens Golf Course. New executive committee members are Crawford; vice president Ricki Mikkelsen; treasurer Dr. Jerry Miller; assistant treasurer Barbara Ashcraft; secretary Sue Gore; and past president Humphrey. Three new board of trustee members were also installed. They are John Flintoff, Cheryl Klepper and Larry Levine.
Continuing to serve on the board are Rick Beal, Suzy Beaty, Fran Brough, Dave Crawford, the Rev. Gary Alan Dickey, June Glasmeier, David Klein, Frances Prince, Allen Reznick, Ed Troupe and Jacque Turner.
For 28 years, Community Conscience, a nonprofit, has owned and operated the “Under One Roof” Human Services Center at 80 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. Community Conscience’s major annual fundraiser, which attracts 300 to 400 attendees, is the Mardi Gras Ball, a gala costume/black tie dinner, with live and silent auctions and entertainment. The 2010 Mardi Gras Ball will be Sat., Feb. 20 at Hyatt Westlake Plaza.
