Global warming is based on politics and bogus science

Regarding: Sherry Jensen’s Dec. 3 letter (“When it comes to environmentalism, big business cannot be trusted”), she wants to cast her lots with the charlatans and carpetbaggers of “man-made global warming.”

Since Ms. Jensen claims to like research, here are some facts she may want to consider:

A British high court found that Al Gore’s film, “An Inconvenient Truth,” is politically biased and ruled that teachers must inform students of this bias before showing it. This bias is based on 11 material falsehoods.

Phil Jones, director of the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit and a centerpiece of the “man-made global warming” charade, has agreed to step down from his position while investigations unfold for substantially misrepresenting data, destroying data and e-mails, and suppressing dissent by real scientists.

Ms. Jensen’s comments on Katrina are typical of the hysteria that the “warm-mongers” keep pushing. Unfortunately, they’re wrong.

According to a Nov. 3 article in Investor’s Business Daily , “a recent study by researchers at Florida State University determined that the 2007 and 2008 hurricane seasons had the least tropical activity in the Northern Hemisphere in 30 years.”

This same article goes on to report how Al Gore has become lobbyist-in-chief, enriching himself with junk science, and at the expense of our economy.

Fraud by people of any political stripe is wrong. Unfortunately, many of my fellow citizens have been duped by the global warming propaganda machine. Hopefully, enough Americans will inform themselves in time to demand a defeat of the ruinous capand-trade bill and vote the charlatans out in 2010.
