Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks– Griffin Mortuary will present its annual nondenominational holiday memorial service at 6 p.m. Sun., Dec. 6 in the chapel at 5600 Lindero Canyon Road, Westlake Village.

There’s no charge to attend.

The program will feature special music and a candle lighting ceremony during which families can light a candle in honor of a deceased loved one.

Those planning to attend are asked to e-mail a JPG file photo of their loved to erin.hickey@scius.com, or mail or drop off a print picture by Nov. 30. The photos will be used in a special tribute during the service.

Following the ceremony, families and friends may decorate a “Tree of Remembrance” with a personalized ornament containing a photo, note or remembrance of a loved one.

Ornaments may be picked up after Nov. 27 and added to the tree that evening or any time before Dec. 23. The tree will be displayed in the mortuary entry through Dec. 26. Ornaments will be given to the families after the holidays.

An RSVP is requested by Nov. 30 from those who plan to attend.
