Kenneth Price, 40, has been convicted by a jury for the July 26, 2008, first-degree murder of his mother, Newbury Park resident Linda Price.

Price was also found guilty of committing the murder during a robbery. Because the victim was 67 years old at the time of the murder, the jury found Price guilty of elder abuse causing death.

Sentencing will take place on Dec. 7. Price faces life in prison without the possiblity of parole.
