Focus of class will be vampires
The facilitator is a vampirologist
UCLA Extension will present a special seminar on “Dracula and His World” from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., Oct. 24 in Haines Hall, Room A18 on the UCLA campus in Westwood, Los Angeles.
The class will be taught by vampirologist Leslie S. Klinger, editor of “The New Annotated Dracula.”
The seminar will examine the earliest vampire folklore, Bram Stoker’s “Dracula,” and vampire depictions on film, stage, radio and television up to “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
Participants will also look at the works of Anne Rice, Chelsea Quinn Yarbro and Stephanie Meyer.
