Pumpkins debut at Underwood Family Farms

Underwood Family Farms’ 12th annual Fall Harvest Festival will present “It’s All About Pumpkins” from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sat. and Sun., Oct. 24 and 25, 3370 Sunset Valley Road, Moorpark.

The event will feature a range of pumpkin varieties, such as Magic Lantern, Aladdin, Howden Biggies, Gold Rush, Cinderellas and Big Macs as well as green gourds, winter squashes and Indian corn.

The Catterwailers will play bluegrass versions of hit songs from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday on the Main Stage. The Rocky Neck Bluegrass Band will perform from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the Main Stage.

Acadiana will play zydeco tunes from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday and the Catterwailers will play an encore from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

New this year, the Moorpark College Graphic Arts Department will show ways to decorate pumpkins.

Admission is $10 and parking is free. Children under 2 will be admitted free.
