Ministry provides food
Angel Food Ministries, a national nonprofit, nondenominational organization, supplements groceries on a monthly basis. The service is available to everyone, regardless of income.
For $30, Angel Food provides a box containing top-quality staples from every food group. One box feeds a family of four for a week or a single senior for about a month.
The menu varies each month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with a retail value of approximately $60.
Special Thanksgiving holiday boxes are available for pre-order through Oct. 28. The regular November order may be placed by Nov. 7.
Participants can order online at AngelFoodMinistries.com with a credit or debit card. Those paying by check, cash or EBT/ food stamps should call the Conejo Valley Community Church office at (805) 381-0484.
Orders can be picked up Nov. 21 at Conejo Valley Community Church, 750 Erbes Road, Thousand Oaks.
For information, call Vicki Satterlee at (818) 335-3895.
