Newbury Park

An attempted assault and battery occurred around 6:30 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 2700 block of Teller Road. Assailants allegedly tormented and attempted to injure someone by throwing rocks.

A home was burglarized between 2:30 and 6 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 400 block of Calle Vera Cruz.

For allegedly disobeying police orders and then trying to flee, a male, 28, was arrested at 1:24 a.m. Aug. 28 in the 100 block of Northam Avenue.

Goods were stolen from Vons supermarket on Newbury Road between 6:30 and 6:50 p.m. Aug. 31.

Gate locks at Cypress Elementary School were cut by a vandal between Aug. 13 and 28.

Property valued at $200 was damaged on Aug. 28 in the 3500 block of Kimber Drive.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Aug. 29 or 30 in the 3000 block of Bernadine Street (unsecured); between Aug. 28 and 30 in the 3000 block of Bernadine Street (unlocked); Aug. 21 or 22 in the 1300 block of Newbury Road; and Aug. 22 in the 1300 block of Newbury Road.

Five males between the ages of 25 and 42 were cited for allegedly drinking alcohol in public at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 600 block of Avenida Del Platino.

Thousand Oaks

An assailant bit the tip from someone’s left pinky finger between 7:20 and 7:25 p.m. Sept. 2 at the southeast corner of Hillcrest Drive and Lynn Road.

A hooligan stabbed somebody in the chest and threatened to kill that person if he or she told police about a previous incident. The latest allegation occurred around 1:15 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 3000 block of Crescent Way.

An armed criminal disobeyed orders from police and eluded Ventura County deputies at 7:47 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 500 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

An arsonist set multiple fires in an open field along Conejo Center Drive between 11 and 11:20 a.m. Aug. 30.

A male, 22, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale at 8:14 p.m. Aug. 25 in the first block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 30, at 10:45 p.m. Aug. 28 at Strawberry Hill Road and Windsor Drive (subject was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run traffic collision); a female, 45, at 6:40 p.m. Sept. 1 at Newbury Road and Ventu Park Road (subject was allegedly involved in two traffic collisions which caused injuries to others); a male, 18, at 7 p.m. Aug. 29 in the 2100 block of Thousand Oaks Boulevard; a female, 20, at 5:20 a.m. Aug. 30 at E. Hillcrest Drive and Hill Ranch Road; and a male, 24, at 1:50 a.m. Aug. 31 in the 200 block of W. Janss Road (the subject was allegedly involved in an accident while riding his bicycle intoxicated).

On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A male, 37, at 1:30 p.m. Sept. 2; a male, 21, at 4 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 100 block of W. Avenida de Los Arboles; a male, 41, at 6:58 p.m. Sept. 1 in the first block of Maegan Place; a male, 19, at 7:40 p.m. Sept. 1 at the USA gas station at Moorpark and Janss roads; and a female, 36, on July 30 in the 1300 block of Whitecliff Road.

A male, 46, was arrested on charges of identity theft and grand theft at 1:35 a.m. Sept. 1 in the 100 block of Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 28, was arrested and charged with identity theft at East County Sheriff’s Station on Sept. 1.

An identity thief stole $435 in goods by using someone’s debit card on Aug. 23 or 24 in the first block of E. Wilbur Road.

An assailant committed battery around 11:50 a.m. Aug. 31 in the 3100 block of Royal Oaks Drive.

For allegedly putting sugar in a fuel tank, a female, 19, was arrested for vandalism Aug. 31 at East County Sheriff’s Station.

Two females, 19 and 20, were cited for allegedly shoplifting at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 500 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 24, was arrested on suspicion of petty theft at noon Aug. 28 in the 100 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 22, was cited for allegedly possessing a springloaded knife at 2:30 a.m. Aug. 29 in the Janss Marketplace parking lot.

Property was stolen ($100 loss) between Aug. 14 and 28 in the 1600 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A home was burglarized between 7:25 and 11:40 a.m. Sept. 1 in the 1200 block of Dover Avenue. The perpetrator entered through an unlocked window.

A burglar broke into a home and stole valuables between 2 and 5 p.m. Aug. 29 in the 3000 block of Wildwood Avenue.

A burglar entered a home between 9:30 a.m. and noon on Aug. 24 in the 3200 block of Camino Calandria.

Mann Theatres at Janss Marketplace were vandalized with graffiti on Aug. 24 or 25. The damage was estimated at $1,000.

A trespasser broke a window to enter an unoccupied commercial building between 2:33 and 8 a.m. Sept. 1 in the 300 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A wallet was stolen around 4:50 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 2000 block of Avenida de Los Arboles.

A wallet from a purse was swiped between 2:10 and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 29 in the 1500 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A purse was stolen between Aug. 7 and 12 in the 2200 block of Lynn Road.

An unsecured bicycle was stolen on Aug. 28 or 29 in the 1400 block of Calle Duranzo.

Shoplifting occurred at Macy’s in The Oaks mall between 7:30 and 7:50 p.m. Aug. 31.

A burglar entered Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 1 W. Avenida de Los Arboles with the intent to steal property on Aug. 26 or 27.

The damage was $40 after a concrete planter at Colina Middle School was vandalized with graffiti on Aug. 29.

A business was burglarized around 3 a.m. Sept. 1 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

Property was stolen from a front yard on March 16 or 17 in the 2600 block of Los Feliz Drive. The incident was recently reported.

A home burglary occurred on Sept. 1 or 2 in the 100 block of Via Mirabella.

Grand thefts occurred on the following dates and locations: Between Aug. 29 and 31 in the 3900 block of Auto Mall Drive; Aug. 4 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (crime was recently reported); June 3 or 4 in the 2800 block of Birchcreek Place (recently reported); and between Aug. 8 and 27 in the 2500 block of N. Moorpark Road.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Aug. 24 or 25 in the 200 block of Erbes Road (unlocked); Aug. 7 or 8 in the 3300 block of Country Home Court (unlocked); Aug. 31 or Sept. 1 in the 200 block of Erbes Road; between 1 and 2:30 p.m. Aug. 15 at the Conejo Dog Park off Avenida de Las Flores (window smashed and purse stolen); Aug. 22 in the 200 block of Oakleaf Drive (two vehicles, one unlocked); Aug. 1 or 2 in the 3000 block of Frontier Avenue (unlocked); between 12:30 and 3 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 5000 block of Via Santana (unlocked); between 6:15 and 8 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (the burglar shattered the passenger window, stole a purse and used the credit cards within to make purchases); between 6 and 9 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (unlocked); Aug. 29 or 30 in the 200 block of Siesta Lane (unlocked); and between 3:45 and 4:45 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 3900 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A vehicle was vandalized on Aug. 28 in the 1600 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

On suspicion of stealing property from an unlocked vehicle in the 3200 block of Wind River Circle on Aug. 30, a male, 22, was arrested the next day in the city of Ventura.

Two vehicle tires were slashed on Aug. 29 or 30 in the 3000 block of Felton Street.

Someone stole property from an unlocked vehicle on Aug. 30 in the 3200 block of Wind River Circle.

A male, 34, was cited for a hitand-run at 3 p.m. Aug. 20 in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla.

For attempting to illegally fish at Wildwood Park and possessing a small amount of pot, a male, 18, was cited at 2 p.m. Aug. 28.

For possessing a small amount of marijuana, a male, 20, was cited at 4:20 p.m. Aug. 29 at Wilbur Road and Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 34, was arrested and charged with lying to police about his identity and drinking alcohol in public at 10:10 p.m. Aug. 29 in the 800 block of Warwick Avenue.

The following subjects were cited for allegedly drinking in public: A male, 34, at 4:45 p.m. Aug. 21 at Estella Park; a male, 48, at 10:38 a.m. Aug. 27 in the 100 block of Brazil Street; and a male, 39, at 1:48 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 100 block of S. Oak View Drive.

Westlake

A woman was falsely imprisoned by an assailant who pretended to be a police officer between 11:45 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. Aug. 19 in the 3700 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A male, 22, was arrested and charged with burglary at 3:45 p.m. Aug. 30 at Clearwater Street and W. Sierra Avenue.

A business was burglarized on Aug. 30 or 31 in the 2800 block of Townsgate Road.

A wallet from a purse was stolen between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. Aug. 31 in the 3900 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A vehicle break-in occurred Aug. 31 or Sept. 1 in the 5300 block of Evanwood Avenue.
