The fifth annual Day of the Horse will start at 10 a.m. Sat., Sept. 12 at the Conejo Creek Equestrian Park, 1300 Avenida de Las Flores, Thousand Oaks.

This event, sponsored by ETI Corral 37, is an entertaining, educational, informative and handson experience with all breeds of horses.

Activities include demonstrations of all equine disciplines, information booths, vendors, free carriage rides and face painting.

Booths will have representatives from youth groups, veterinarians, DART and Ventura County Animal Control.

Monies raised from pizza and soft drink sales will go to RideOn Therapeutic Horsemanship and California Coastal Horse Rescue.
