PASSING THE TORCH– Valerie Vollmer, left, has assumed ownership of The Plug Nickel in Thousand Oaks, previously owned by her mother, Dixie Vollmer, right. The Plug Nickel is both a restaurant and catering service. It has served Conejo Valley residents for 34 years at 717 Lakefield Road, Ste. 1, just south of Townsgate Road.
