Soccer club wins prestigious Swedish tournament


SWEET!—The local Real SoCal girls’ U-15 soccer team won the Manchester United Cup in Beaverton, Ore., in May, earning a berth in the Junior World Championships at the Gothia Cup at Sweden. Real SoCal claimed the Gothia Cup with a 1-0 over a top Swedish squad. Lydia Bowman scored the winning goal and was named player of the match.
