The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is hosting a Court Appointed Special Advocate informational presentation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tues., Aug. 4 at the Goebel Senior Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Special advocates help abandoned, neglected or abused children to navigate the legal system and advocate for the child in court.

Training is provided for advocates. Volunteers serve approximately 10 hours per month.
