WHS grad, now a comedian, will go onstage in Moorpark
Former Thousand Oaks resident and Moorpark College alumnus Nick Rutherford will take part in an evening of stand-up comedy called "Like These Guys" at 8 p.m. Tues., June 8 in the Studio Theater, Performing Arts Center, Moorpark College, 7075 Campus Road.
After touring in standup comedy stints in New York City and around the country, Rutherford will perform with fellow comedians John Patrick Wells, Aalap Patel and Matteson Perry.
All seats are $10.
A graduate of Westlake High School, Rutherford recently finished a nationwide tour with his sketch group Good Neighbor, whose work can be seen on MTV, E! and the CW network.
He was featured at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Underground Comedy Festival, The Los Angeles Comedy Festival, the Out of Bounds Festival in Austin, Texas, and The New York Stand-Up Comedy Festival.
