Newbury Park

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 31, at 1:05 p.m. April 14 at Reino Road and Woodland Oak Place (subject reportedly had never been issued a driver's license); a male, 29, at 8:55 p.m. April 13 in the 1700 block of Calle Zafiro (subject was allegedly involved in a traffic accident); a male, 18, at 3:44 a.m. April 10 in the 2400 block of W. Hillcrest Drive; a male, 20, at 2:09 a.m. April 11 in the 2200 block of Michael Drive (subject was allegedly driving on the wrong side of the road); and a male, 20, at 3:30 a.m. April 12 at Shady Oaks and Hillcrest drives (subject was allegedly driving recklessly).

On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A male, 26, at 11:30 p.m. April 15 in the first block of N. Dos Vientos Drive; and a male, 20, at 9:30 a.m. April 16 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road (subject allegedly possessed a small amount of marijuana.)

A male, 40, allegedly pushed his girlfriend during an argument, causing her to fall down, and he was arrested at 5:30 a.m. April 14 in the 500 block of Artisan Road. A female, 33, was arrested on a domestic battery charge at the scene.

For allegedly committing battery, a female, 20, was cited at 11:50 a.m. April 11 in the 2300 block of Adrian Street.

A male, 20, was arrested on a charge of violating a domestic violence restraining order at 1:45 p.m. April 11 in the 300 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A female, 35, allegedly stole $1,018 in cosmetics from Long's Drugs on S. Reino Road at 10:31 p.m. April 16.

A female, 38, was cited for allegedly possessing a small amount of marijuana at 4:05 p.m. April 14 in the 2000 block of Newbury Road.

A male, 48, was cited for allegedly drinking alcohol in public at 2:35 p.m. April 9 in the 1500 block of Newbury Road.

In a gang-related crime, someone broke a home's window ($300 damage) on April 12 or 13 in the 600 block of Paseo La Perla.

A burglar entered a garage and attempted to break into a locked vehicle between April 10 and 12 in the 1700 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A vandal threw a rock that hit and broke a $100 bedroom window around 5:15 a.m. April 10 in the 1200 block of Newbury Road.

Construction equipment was stolen from a home under construction between April 10 and 12 in the 100 block of Heavenly Valley Road.

A vehicle had $400 in damage on April 14 or 15 in the 5000 block of Via Andrea.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: On April 16 in the 1800 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (window broken); and between April 11 and 13 in the 1700 block of W. Hillcrest Drive (radio/CD player stolen.)

Thousand Oaks

A male, 55, was stopped while driving a vehicle. According to the police report, the subject's eyes were red and watery, his speech was thick and slurred, and he had vomit on his shirt. The subject, who reeked of alcohol, was unsteady on his feet and needed help several times so he wouldn't fall over. After failing field sobriety tests, he was cited on suspicion of driving under the influence at 8:55 p.m. April 9 at Moorpark Road and Los Padres Drive.

The following subjects were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the times, dates and places indicated: A male, 36, at 2:15 a.m. April 14 in the 100 block of W. Hillcrest Drive; a female, 21, at midnight April 15 in the 3600 block of Moorpark Road (subject was allegedly involved in a traffic accident at Moorpark and Olsen roads); and a male, 34, at 1 a.m. April 17 at Townsgate Road and Westlake Boulevard.

On suspicion of being under the influence of controlled substances, the following subjects were arrested: A male, 21, at 9:30 p.m. April 13 in the 500 block of Lynwood Street (subject allegedly possessed heroin and a smoking device); a male, 24, at 2:54 p.m. April 11 at the McDonald's at Janss and Moorpark roads; and a male, 30, at 8:15 p.m. April 10 in the 200 block of W. Janss Road (subject allegedly was involved in a traffic accident, possessed a plastic bag containing syringes, a spoon and cotton, and admitted to paramedics that he'd used heroin before the accident.)

A male, 47, was arrested and charged with battering and injuring his girlfriend at 10:35 p.m. April 14 in the 300 block of Sommerset Circle.

For allegedly striking someone in the face and causing an injury, a female, 28, was cited at 2:15 a.m. April 12 in the 200 block of N. Moorpark Road.

A male, 21, was arrested at noon April 14 in the 1300 block of Norman Avenue and charged with possessing a switchblade knife, considered a deadly weapon.

A male, 26, admitted to police he threw rocks into vehicles at Borderline Bar and Grill at 99 Rolling Oaks Drive, and he was arrested and charged with felony vandalism at 1:20 a.m. April 13.

On a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, a male, 24, was arrested at 10:39 p.m. April 12 in the 1300 block of Calle Gomero.

A female, 22, was cited for alleged petty theft at 7 p.m. April 13 in the 500 block of W. Hillcrest Drive.

A male, 24, was cited for vandalism after allegedly kicking a car at 2 p.m. April 13 at Hampshire Road and Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

A female, 21, was recently arrested in connection with a hitand-run traffic accident.

Charged with shoplifting from Macy's in The Oaks, a female, 42, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. April 11.

Four lockers were broken into and property was stolen at 24 Hour Fitness gym on E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard between 12:58 and 1:51 p.m. April 13.

A burglar stole $6,400 in valuables from a home on April 14 or 15 in the 300 block of Burton Court.

A $1,000 golf cart was stolen between March 13 and 16 in the 100 block of W. Thousand Oaks Boulevard. The crime was recently reported.

Property was stolen from Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Avenida de Los Arboles between 1 and 2:40 p.m. April 10.

A burglary was attempted between April 9 and 14 in the 700 block of Bright Star Street.

Shoplifting was attempted at Ralphs on N. Moorpark Road between 5:05 and 5:25 p.m. April 9. At the same store, a shoplifter stole $8 in property between 6:20 and 6:24 p.m. April 11.

Petty theft occurred at 7-Eleven on E. Wilbur Road around 12:45 a.m. March 24.

At the 7-Eleven on Thousand Oaks Boulevard, a burglar entered the store around 11:55 a.m. April 12 and attempted to force his way into a locked office. The burglar couldn't force his way in, but destroyed the lock in the process and fled without being detected.

Vandals spray painted "Bear" and "Cheddar" in multiple locations throughout the wash just south of Paseo de La Paz and Lynn Road on March 4 or 5.

A $500 window was damaged around 12:30 a.m. April 11 in the 1400 block of Calle Tulipan.

Vehicle break-ins occurred on the following dates and places: Between 3:30 and 3:44 p.m. April 16 in the 1500 block of Wynnefield Avenue (unlocked); between April 10 and 14 in the 1600 block of Bowcliff Terrace (rear window broken); between 6:15 and 7 p.m. April 13 in the 200 block of S. Moorpark Road (window smashed); between April 3 and 6 in the 1800 block of Fordham Avenue (unlocked); on April 9 or 10 in the 2800 block of N. Great Smokey Court; between 5:05 and 5:35 p.m. April 10 at the city dog park on Avenida de Las Flores; between 6 and 7 p.m. April 8 at the city dog park(a window was broken and a purse was stolen); between 4:55 and 5:05 p.m. April 10 at Avenida de Las Flores and Deerfield Street; and between 6:45 and 8 p.m. April 10 in the 2400 block of Willow Lane.

For alleged possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana, a male, 20, was cited at 4:30 a.m. April 9 at E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard and Houston Drive. At the scene, a female, 21, was cited for alleged possession of a hypodermic needle.

A male, 19, was cited for alleged possession of a small amount of marijuana at 6:30 p.m. April 16 at Winding Lane and Stoneybrook Drive.

A male, 55, was cited for allegedly drinking a 24-ounce can of Budweiser beer from a black plastic bag at 4:30 p.m. April 4 at Erbes Road and Charterwood Court. A male, 39, was also cited on suspicion of drinking alcohol in public at 8:20 p.m. April 11 in the 1400 block of E. Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

Westlake/T.O.

A vehicle break-in with almost $1,000 in damage occurred on April 12 or 13 in the 2300 block of Hillsbury Road. Another vehicle was broken and a garage door opener was stolen between 4:20 and 4:25 a.m. April 13 in the 2300 block of Highgate Road.

On April 7, a bicycle valued at more than $400 was stolen from Westlake Cyclery on Willow Lane.

A BMX bicycle was stolen on April 12 or 13 in the 5500 block of Partridge Court.
