Jewish Genealogical Society screens Jewish Vilna documentary

The Jewish Genealogical Society of the Conejo Valley and Ventura County will host a meeting from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sun., May 3 at Temple Adat Elohim, 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks.

The meeting will feature a screening of the documentary "The World Was Ours," which is dedicated to the memory of Jewish Vilna, often referred to as the "Jerusalem of Lithuania." The film focuses on the pre-war culture and its achievements. Narration is provided by Mandy Patinkin.

There is no charge to attend the meeting.
