Greg Angle Greg Angle Greg Angle began work on Monday as president and chief executive officer of Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center.

Angle, who moved his family from Arizona to Ventura County, said he was looking forward to living in Thousand Oaks, which he described as a beautiful, family oriented community, with good schools.

He acknowledged that Los Robles has a wonderful legacy and a great staff, but he's already thought about ways to provide greater hospital satisfaction.

"The emergency center is the front door of the hospital, and we want to make sure it's efficient and helps patients in a timely manner," he said.

Angle brings 25 years of healthcare management experience to the hospital, said Dr. Hannah Grossman, hospital chief of staff.

"His strong background in physician relations, hospital and community relations, and program and policy development will further Los Robles in its mission towards maintaining the delivery of quality healthcare to the communities we serve," Grossman said.

Angle, 47, replaces chief operating officer Natalie Mussie, who's served as interim CEO since Jim Sherman resigned in February.

"We are very pleased to welcome Greg to Los Robles Hospital and to the Conejo Valley," said Ross Goldberg, chair of the hospital's board of trustees.

"His extensive knowledge of healthcare operations will be a great asset to the hospital and to the community as we continue to answer the unique challenges facing hospitals and healthcare today," Goldberg said.

Angle served as CEO of Carondelet St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, Ariz. He also held executive leadership positions in hospitals throughout the Southwest that are owned by Hospital Corporation of America, parent company of Los Robles Hospital.

Angle has a master's degree in health services administration from Arizona State University and an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Arizona.

Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center is a licensed 359bed acute care facility that is fully accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is certified by both Los Angeles and Ventura counties as a STEMI-designated heart attack center for rapid heart attack response.
