Los Robles Hospital gets new CEO
      Greg Angle began work on Monday as president and chief executive officer of Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center. Angle, who moved his family from Arizona to Ventura County, said he was looking forward to living in Thousand Oaks, which he described as a beautiful, family oriented community, with good schools.

Missing man found in T.O.
      When a vulnerable resident went missing on Saturday, authorities used every means available to help find him, including the T.O. City Alert system. The new emergency measure proved invaluable. At around 12:35 p.m. April 18, Richard Santangelo, 90, disappeared from the Hillcrest Royale Retirement Residence near Hillcrest Drive and Moorpark Road.

Church volunteers will plant trees on Saturday
      With the help of more than 300 volunteers from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, about 300 trees will be added to the Thousand Oaks landscape on Sat., April 25.

T.O. to refund utility credit balances
      The city of Thousand Oaks is performing its annual audit of outstanding credit balances on terminated utility accounts and would like to return these funds to their rightful owners. The city has identified 108 accounts totaling $9,401.36.

      The 12th annual Thousand Oaks Arbor/Earth Day festival will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sat., April 25 at Conejo Creek Park North, 1379 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. The event is presented by the city of Thousand Oaks and Conejo Recreation and Park District.

      The Thousand Oaks Council on Aging will host Dave Mullinax on a broadcast that will be aired live over Public Access Channel 10 at 1 p.m. Wed., May 6 in the board room on the third level behind the fountains at City Hall at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd.

Ventura County Writer's Club sponsors poetry contest
      The Ventura County Writer's Club is sponsoring a poetry contest for local poets. The entry deadline is May 31. The age categories are adults over 18 years old, and youths 18 years old and younger. Prizes for adults are $100 first place, $75 second place and $50 third place.
