A bicycle safety instruction program was presented last week in partnership with Smart Moves at Sycamore Canyon School in Newbury Park.

Students navigated a bicycle safety obstacle course and a mobile rock climbing wall. Workshops included driver, pedestrian and bicyclist behaviors and safety; skills necessary to make smart choices in traffic; California Vehicle Code laws and regulations; use of bike racks, bike lanes, bike paths and bike trails; explanation of traffic environment and school transportation and traffic policies.
