The kickoff for fall programs for the United Methodist Church of Westlake Village will be Sun., Sept. 9 with one worship service at 10:30 a.m., 1049 Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village. Sunday School won't meet.

The Rev. Gary Alan Dickey's message will be "Friends: Me, You and Thee." The combined adult choirs will sing and the Covenant Ringers will play hand bells.

At 10 a.m. and following the worship service, an open house will be held in Alton Hall, with displays of church programs. Refreshments will be available.

Visitors are welcome. Child care will be available at 10 a.m.
