I have lived in the area for almost 25 years and remember when Kmart was the only "big" store in town before The Promenade, The Lakes and everything else. When I talk to other longtime neighbors, many of us simply don't understand what all the fear is about Home Depot. More ... We shouldn't turn a blind eye to the Home Depot. It's time to be realistic and seriously consider the benefits. Who's going to fund a skating rink at the old Kmart? I've been a resident for 28 years and have seen the old skating rink fail. On Sat., Aug. 25, Balloon Designs by Jeanne had the privilege of releasing 700 helium-filled white latex balloons to celebrate the unveiling of the new community fountain at the Janss Marketplace.
