Women to play golf for worthy cause

2005-08-04 / On The Town

From novices to pros, local women can fight domestic violence on the golf course at Interface Children Family Services’ 11th annual Technicolor “Learn with the Pros” Women’s Golf Clinic from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mon., Sept. 26 at Las Posas Country Club, 955 Fairway Drive, Camarillo.

The cost is $225 per person and includes breakfast, personalized golf lessons with a teaching pro, gourmet lunch, golf, cart, putting contest, tee prizes, reception and silent auction.

The golf clinic is sponsored by Technicolor.

Proceeds from the clinic will benefit the organization’s SafeHaven Shelter, an emergency shelter for women and their children, and SafeJourney Transitional Homes, which provides safe, affordable housing for women and their children while they gain job and life skills.
