Aviation art, science entries are needed

The 25th anniversary Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) Camarillo Air Show is seeking entries for the Youth Aviation Art and Science Fair. Entries will be displayed at the air show, scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and Sun., Aug. 27 and 28 at the Camarillo Airport.

Youth from preschool through 18 years old may enter any type of project related to aviation. All participants will receive a certificate and an invitation to fly a plane through Chapter 723 of the EAA’s Young Eagles program. Ribbons and additional prizes will be given to the first, second and third-place winners.

Submission deadline is Fri., Aug. 12.

The air show is a family event featuring aircraft displays, flybys, airplane rides, children’s activities, classic cars and tractors, Air Force museum, live music, food and gift vendors, silent auction and raffle, a two-hour air show and the opportunity to meet World War II pilots.
