God’s Quad to sing at St. Patrick’s Church

God’s Quad, a gospel quartet, will perform at 10:15 a.m., Sun., Aug. 7 at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church in Thousand Oaks. The appearance of the Conejo Valley men’s singing group will mark the beginning of “The Arts at St. Patrick’s,” a performance series from August to December that integrates diverse musical styles into the church’s services.

Founded originally in 1998 as a barbershop quartet, God’s Quad consists of four choir members from Emmanuel Presbyterian Church who perform a cappella renditions of southern gospel and contemporary male quartet songs.

“God’s Quad will be a great kickoff to ‘The Arts at St. Patrick’s,’” said Steve O’Connor, musical director for St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church.

“A cappella gospel is one of the purest and most beautiful forms of church music. We look forward to an uplifting and entertaining performance.”

For more information about the God’s Quad Sunday appearance and “The Arts at St. Patrick’s” performance series, please call O’Connor at (805) 495-6441.

St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church is at One Church Road in Thousand Oaks, off El Monte Drive, one block north of Janss Road.
